Greta Thunberg responds to Donald Trump

Greta Thunberg, an activist for the environment, has spoken out against Donald Trump’s statements about her. He labeled her “strange” and said she needed “anger management class.” Israeli troops stopped Thunberg from sailing to Gaza with humanitarian aid and she said she was “kidnapped in international waters.” Trump said her claims were false and that Israel has “enough problems without kidnapping Greta Thunberg.”

Thunberg’s Answer

Thunberg replied in a strong way, “I think the world needs a lot more young angry women to be honest, especially with everything going on right now.” That’s the thing we need the most. She said that she and the other campaigners were really kidnapped and taken to Israel against their choice. Thunberg stressed how important their humanitarian objective was, which was to send aid to Gaza and raise awareness about how bad things are there.

The Mission of Helping Others

Thunberg was a member of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, which wants to lift the siege on Gaza and build a humanitarian passage. She said that the mission was very important since more than two million people were being systematically starved and there was “full-blown live stream genocide” in Gaza. Thunberg said that it is not okay to see someone in pain and do nothing.

What Israel Did

Israel has fiercely disputed that it committed genocide, and officials have called the flotilla’s objective a “media provocation” meant to get attention. The disagreement between Thunberg’s critique and Israel’s position has made the debate concerning Gaza even more heated.

The Fight Between Thunberg and Trump

The fight between Thunberg and Trump has been going on for a while, and this is the latest thing that has happened. Thunberg has been very vocal about climate change and social inequality, and Trump has attacked her personally several times in response. Thunberg’s answer to Trump’s comments has been hailed as a strong rebuttal that shows how important it is for more young people to speak up against unfairness.
