In a heartwarming display of bravery and loyalty, a cat named Binx has saved her canine companion, Oakley, from a vicious coyote attack. The incident occurred in Edmond, Oklahoma, when Oakley, a 6-year-old Havanese dog, was attacked by two coyotes while doing her business in the yard. Just as all hope seemed lost, Binx, the family’s black cat, sprang into action, chasing the coyotes away and saving Oakley’s life.

The dramatic scene was captured on security footage, showing Binx fearlessly darting towards the coyotes and scaring them off. Oakley, however, was left badly injured, with severe lacerations on her chest and side. Despite the severity of her injuries, Oakley is expected to make a full recovery, thanks to the quick thinking and bravery of her feline friend.
The dog’s owner, Lane Dyer, was amazed by Binx’s heroism, calling it “the craziest thing ever.” Dyer was inspired by Binx’s actions, saying, “It was inspiring to see just our little outdoor cat just jump at two coyotes that were attacking this little dog who she loves and run them off.” The incident is a testament to the strong bond between pets and the unexpected ways they can look out for each other [1].
