A woman got tired of her husband being late all the time and decided to teach him a lesson. There was a note she left telling him she was leaving him for good. She thought about leaving, but she hid under the bed to see how he would respond.
During her wait, she heard her husband go from the kitchen to the bedroom. He picked up the note and read it, and she watched. Following some time, he wrote something on the note and then called.
The woman wasn’t ready for the talk they had on the phone. He was making plans with someone and telling them that he was going to see them because his wife had finally left. He even talked about liking French nightgowns and doing “naughty things.”
When the woman heard what was being said, she was angry and hurt. Before coming out from under the bed, she waited until her husband left the house. She picked up the note with tears in her eyes to read what he had written.
But what she read shocked her. The note didn’t say anything sweet or sorry; it just said, “I can see your feet.” We’ve run out of bread. Please come back in five minutes.
