He got drunk and threw up all over his shirt, as luck would have it. He was scared and asked his friend for help, telling him that he would get into trouble if he went home the way he was. A smart plan was made by his friend to save the man’s marriage.
Putting a twenty-pound note in the man’s jacket pocket and telling his wife that someone had thrown up on him was the plan. The man would then get the money to pay for the dry cleaning. Things didn’t go as planned when the man did what his friend told him to do.
When he got home, his wife was very angry at how he looked. But the man was ready. He took out the twenty-pound note and told the story his friend had made up. But his wife wasn’t sure, so she decided to find out more.
She took out not one but two twenty-pound notes from the pocket of his jacket. The man had to think quickly because his cover was blown. He made up a silly reason, saying that the second note was from a man who had pooped in his pants, when he was really desperate. Even though it was sad, it was a funny attempt to save face.
