Ufran Sharif, the Father Who Murdered His 10-Year-Old Daughter, Attacked in Prison

A horrific crime that shocked the world has taken a new turn. Ufran Sharif, the father who brutally murdered his 10-year-old daughter Sara, has been attacked in prison. The incident occurred on New Year’s Day, just weeks into Sharif’s life sentence.

Sara’s tragic story unfolded in August 2023, when her body was found at the family home in Woking, Surrey. The young girl had suffered a “campaign of torture” at the hands of her father, who had subjected her to physical and emotional abuse over a period of two years.

Sharif’s confession letter, found at the scene, revealed the shocking details of his crime. He had beaten Sara to death, leaving her with over 70 injuries, including fractures, burns, and human bite marks.

Following a lengthy international manhunt, Sharif, his wife Beinash Batool, and his brother Faisal Malik were arrested and charged in connection with Sara’s murder. While Sharif initially denied involvement, he later admitted to the crime, stating that “she died because of me.”

In December 2024, Sharif was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 40 years. Batool received a life sentence with a minimum term of 33 years, while Malik was sentenced to 16 years in prison for causing or allowing Sara’s death.

The attack on Sharif in prison was carried out by two inmates who were reportedly “sickened” by his abuse of Sara. Using a makeshift weapon made from a tuna can lid, the attackers sliced Sharif in the neck and face, leaving him with serious injuries.

A source revealed that Sharif had tried to keep a low profile in prison but was ultimately targeted due to the nature of his crime. “Word quickly got round about who he was… Inmates were not happy he is in there with them, and although the other prisoners are in for heinous crimes, a lot of them don’t like people who attack children.”

The incident has sparked debate about the treatment of child killers in prison. While some argue that Sharif’s attack was a form of justice, others believe that it highlights the need for greater protection for vulnerable prisoners.
