At 17, Kaylee was diagnosed with a heart arrhythmia, an irregular heartbeat that left her feeling anxious and drained. As she struggled to balance her physical limitations with the demands of school and work, her grades began to slip, and she made the difficult decision to leave school.

Kaylee’s life continued to spiral out of control as she turned to substance abuse to cope with her emotions. She experimented with various drugs, including marijuana, heroin, and ecstasy, which further exacerbated her mental health struggles. Despite her family’s efforts to intervene, Kaylee’s addiction only deepened, leading her down a dangerous path of self-destruction.

In a shocking turn of events, Kaylee, under the influence of meth, gouged out her own eyes, believing it was the only way to “right the world.” The incident left her blind, but fortunately, she survived the ordeal. During her recovery, Kaylee made the pivotal decision to seek help for her addiction and was eventually diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Today, Kaylee is committed to rebuilding her life and finding a new sense of purpose. Despite the challenges she faces, she remains optimistic about her future and is determined to fulfill her childhood dreams. Her story serves as a powerful reminder of the dangers of addiction and the importance of seeking help before it’s too late.
