Your heart rate and blood pressure go through the roof when you suddenly sit up or stand up. This is because your sympathetic nervous system is activated very quickly. This can put a lot of stress on the brain’s small blood vessels, which could cause a bleeding stroke. Instead, slowly wake up for a few minutes by rubbing your face, head, and neck. This will help your body make the change from sleeping to awake more easily.

People may have said that drinking reduced salt water first thing in the morning was good for you, but doctors strongly advise against it. Too much salt can hurt your kidneys, raise your blood pressure, and make you more likely to have a stroke. Also, drinking salt water on an empty stomach can hurt the oesophagus and stomach walls, which could cause sores or inflammation. A better choice is to start your day with a glass of plain, room-temperature water. This will help your body recover, get your metabolism going, and flush out toxins without putting extra stress on your heart.

There are also risks that you might not expect when you work out too early in the morning. Exercise is good for you in general, but when you do it is very important. Before sunrise, when temperatures are lower, working out can narrow blood vessels, which raises the chance of heart problems like myocardial infarction, stroke, and other cerebrovascular illnesses.
