Jane had given her whole heart and soul to looking for the Smith family’s three children as their babysitter. So she was thrilled when her family invited her on a fancy trip to a beach resort. They told her that they would pay for everything, so she gladly accepted their offer.
But when they got back home, the Smiths dropped a big secret. They told Jane that they were expecting to get the money back through a business deal that didn’t work out, so they made her pay $1,000 for her plane ticket. Jane was shocked and angry because she knew she couldn’t pay that much money.
The Smiths’ request not only cost a lot of money, it was also a clear breach of the deal they made in the first place. Jane thought she was being used and ignored, and she knew she had to speak out. She saw that the Smiths’ bad image was their weak point and chose to use it to her benefit.
Jane made a fake email account and sent a message about the Smiths’ abusive behaviour to several important families in their social group while remaining unknown. People began to talk about and be angry about the email, and soon the Smiths were getting flak from their friends and coworkers.
As the incident grew, Jane learnt that the Smiths had a past of acting in a strange way. It was common for Mrs. Smith to “borrow” expensive clothes and forget to return them, which hurt the family’s image.
The bad things the Smiths did to Jane came back to bite them in the end. Their social standing went down because they had to face the effects of what they had done. At the same time, Jane came out of the experience with more confidence and a better sense of her own worth.
She quickly found a new job with the Johnsons, a family who treated her with more respect and kindness. They valued her hard work and determination. Jane learnt that fate can work fairly quickly as she thought back on her time with the Smiths. The Smith family learnt an important lesson about how to be respectful and kind to others, and Jane came out of the experience stronger and smarter.
